Hytra, Michelin Star Restaurant

Leof. Andrea Siggrou 107, Athina 117 45, Greece

We were able to grab a table at Hytra on a Friday evening around eight in the evening. Hytra has one Michelin star, located in the Onassis Cultural Centre on the 6th floor. Hytra has one Michelin star, indicating there is high quality cooking, and it is worth a visit.

When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by the hostess and shown to our table. The waiter immediately walked us through the menu, which contained several reasonable options.

There is a standard menu from which you can choose one entree, however, there are also eight and fourteen course set menus. The menus come with the option to add cocktail or wine pairings.

We chose the fourteen course menu option. The fourteen course option allowed us to try the widest variety of menu items. To accompany our meal we chose a white wine, Idisma Drios. The wine is an Assyrtiko grape from Greece, well balanced, not too sweet.

The meal began with crab, greens, asparagus, bread, and assorted fish. The highlight of the first courses was the delicious bread. It is encrusted with seeds and served with butter and olive oil, with fresh sea salt.

A “black pork” dish was served before moving into the dessert items. The pork was very tender. The pork was followed by a carob branch, two ice cream dishes, fresh berries and cream.

The final dishes were served concurrently. Chocolates with, dried cranberries, and sea salt. The secret ingredient will surprise you.

An olive oil biscuit with kiwi, lime, basil, and coriander. Creamy with a light finish.

Caramel candy scented with pine. A buttery, homemade taste.

You can wash it all down with a basil liquer. The flavor is not overly strongly and a great way to end the meal.

Each dish was unique and uniquely presented. As each meal arrived we were informed of the suggested way to eat each dish. The staff was pleasant, the food delicious, and the views magnificent. Our experience at Hytra was like non other.

First of all I want to say wonderful blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I have had a tough time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out. I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or tips? Thanks!|

I’ve been using Movable-type on numerous websites for about a year and am worried about switching to another platform. I have heard good things about blogengine.net.
