A List of Black-Owned Businesses in DC, Maryland, and Virginia

Now more than ever it is important to support small businesses. In particular black-owned businesses tend to build their companies from the ground up, with nothing but their personal savings. Often times any profits are reinvested back into the business. With the onset of the pandemic, current protests, property destruction, and violence, we must take care of those things we hold dear, and for me that is small businesses, specifically black-owned businesses.

I’ve compiled a list of black-owned businesses across Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia as a resource for myself and anyone else who wants to support a black-owned business.

*Note: This is not a comprehensive list. I will be updating the list regularly and adding more businesses as my research continues and as I receive suggestions from all those using this list as a resource. Please feel free to comment with suggested additions. Additionally, though my list will include restaurants, please visit Feed the Malik for a growing list of DC’s Black-Owned Restaurants Open During COVID-19.

    5 stars
I think that what you wrote was very reasonable. However, what
about this? what if you added a little content?
I mean, I don’t want to tell you how to run your
website, however suppose you added a title that makes people desire more?
I mean A List of Black-Owned Businesses in DC, Maryland,
and Virginia – Flights and Foods is kinda vanilla.
You could peek at Yahoo’s home page and see how they
create post titles to get viewers to click. You might try
adding a video or a related picture or two to get readers
excited about what you’ve written. Just my opinion,
it could make your blog a little bit more interesting.
