A New Cupcake Concept Comes to DC
When Tiffany Lightfoot showed up to a party with a lemon bundt cake from her grandmother’s recipe, she never imagined that her family recipe would inspire her to open her own bakery.
With encouragement from family and friends Tiffany decided to leave her day job and devote all of her time to My Cake Theory. After the third day of baking full time, Tiffany was booked out for the entire month. This let her know she had made the right decision.
Going into business for herself, there was a learning curve. Tiffany, like many new entrepreneurs, did not know how to price her edible artwork. In fact, even though she had regular customers, Tiffany did not realize her true value until about three years after starting her business.

After months of working on My Cake Theory full time, Tiffany felt she needed more space to bake. On a quest for a space Tiffany tried several locations, but once she stepped into the Capitol Hill location, she knew she had found the right place. Shortly after viewing the space, the pandemic hit the DC area. Fortunately, Tiffany was able to negotiate with her lessor to come to reasonable accommodations which would allow her to secure the location for her business. Despite city services having been delayed, My Cake Theory will be opening this fall.
Tiffany has many loyal customers in the DC area that rave about her custom designed cakes. So much so that the word about Tiffany’s cakes has even reached celebrities. Tiffany has been commissioned to create cakes for local, as well as nationally known, celebrities.

Tiffany’s bakery, My Cake Theory, will offer a create your own cupcake concept. You’ll have the opportunity to select your base cake flavor, frosting, and a countless variety of toppings. This “flavors to frills” concept gives everyone the freedom to create a unique treat. For all of My Cake Theory’s long time customers, you will be able to order your custom cakes in store, or grab a prepared cake on the go.
My Cake Theory is a Black Woman-owned business. The bakery will open on Capitol Hill at Eastern Market’s Main Street located at 325 7th St. SE in February 2021.

Greetings! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering
which blog platform are you using for this site? I’m getting tired
of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another
platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

Howdy this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding knowledge so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
