60+ Black Owned Businesses

A list of Black Owned Businesses You Can Support From Home

We all stock our fridges and pantries, but we don’t always stop and think about where those products come from. Over the past few years, I have built some great relationships with local business owners who aren’t restauranteurs, but who sell their products in local stores and markets. In other words, consumer packaged goods (CPGs).

CPGs are generally any merchandise that customers use up and replace on a frequent basis. These could be household items like packaged foods, toiletries, candies, or beverages. After hearing stories from local entrepreneurs about the packaging process, learning what it takes to get your products on a shelf, and the expense involved once your products do make it into a retail store, I realized I could be more intentional about not only supporting restaurants but supporting CPGs created by people of color.

Our pantry is full of Black-owned products, but not all of those products are labeled ‘Black-owned’ in stores, outside of Black History Month. So I am sharing over sixty Black-owned products and brands that you can support today. You will find fully and partially Black-owned products, like drinks, fresh and frozen foods, pantry staples, sauces and spices, and teas and coffees. Some of these products I have tried, some I hope to try, and some sell out too quickly to get my hands on them.

As we continue to explore new products I will keep this list as a living reference, and if I missed any of your favorites let me know in the comments!
